ATH/TECH - Working with Git & GitHub
Athens Tech College students had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on Working with Git & GitHub. The event was held on Friday, March 10, 2023 by the Code.Hub company, with presenter Mr. Ioannis Daniil, a graduate of the College and Software Engineer at Code.Learn.
Students had the opportunity to watch and understand the philosophy and operation of Git, which every developer should have in their ‘arsenal’. This tool is the most widespread tool for monitoring the versions of the produced software (versioning control). As part of the workshop, the usefulness of GitHub, a platform (owned by Microsoft), was presented, both for the availability of code and for its distribution to members of a group in the context of its collaborative development. Finally, practices from the daily life of a Software Engineer were discussed.
